Nick Allen and Neil Raden have joined Wikibon.

Welcome Neil Raden and Nick AllenNick Allen and Neil Raden have joined Wikibon.

Nick Allen is a long-time, renowned storage analyst. This is the first time we’ve worked together, but I have admired his work at Gartner and, more recently, at his own firm, The Tod Point Group. He consistently foresaw the big storage issues, made the right trend calls, and – most importantly – delivered the type of client value that compels clients to sing his praises to other analysts (like me).

At Wikibon, Nick will work closely with David Floyer and David Vellante on storage trends and user challenges. Also, as storage technologies evolve into the architectural centerpiece of systems, Nick will help drive our overall infrastructure transformation research agenda. We are lucky to have him.

Neil Raden is an influential thought leader on analytics, from achieving business outcomes to analytics technology adoption. As a practitioner, consultant, and analyst, he’s been at the vanguard of several analytics and big data trends. Whenever I asked users which independent analysts they paid attention to, Neil’s name came up. I’ve tried to hire him elsewhere; I’m thrilled that he’s joined the Wikibon team.

At Wikibon, Neil will work in two domains. First, he’ll complement George Gilbert’s big data technology research and Jim Kobielus’s next-gen application development research with work on achieving big data business outcomes. Second, he’ll help drive our digital business transformation research with me.

They are both on-board now. Look for each of them on theCUBE, blogging for SiliconANGLE, and – of course – writing leading research.
